BEIS consultation on the UK R&D roadmap – provide your views to the Chartered ABS

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published the government's Research & Development (R&D) roadmap which articulates the UK's vision and ambition for science, research and innovation. Over the coming months the government will develop the proposals in the roadmap into a comprehensive R&D plan. We are writing a formal submission to Government in response to the roadmap and are welcoming your views on this until 5pm on Friday 24 July.

BEIS has asked a series of high-level questions about the plan for interested organisations and people. The R&D roadmap has long-term implications for the research activities of business schools and universities more generally. The Chartered ABS will submit a response to BEIS based on input from our members and we are interested in hearing from a wide range of interested stakeholders.

This survey is a great opportunity to make the case for the role business and management research can play in delivering economic and societal benefits over the coming decades. We encourage you to contribute your perspective and expertise to our response to help us make this case.

If you would like to offer your views on the R&D roadmap please complete our survey by 5pm on Friday 24 July (our survey replicates the questions in the BEIS survey). To open the survey click here. If you would like to view the questions before answering them please see here. The consultation page on the BEIS website can be viewed here.

Your help in responding to this consultation is much appreciated. If you have any queries about our response please contact Ramin Bokaian (ramin.bokaian@charteredabs.org).
