Business Schools for Good – a collaboration with ITN Productions Industry News

The Chartered Association of Business Schools (Chartered ABS) and ITN Productions Industry News are co-producing a news-style programme, Business Schools for Good, which will explore the remarkable contribution that UK business schools deliver for the public good.

Today’s world is faced with significant disruption. Globalisation and new technologies offer great potential for business and economic growth, but also great challenges for community cohesion, social justice, equality, and sustainable development.

The UK’s business schools are among those leading the charge in addressing these challenges. Using their world-leading research, teaching, and relationships, business schools are helping businesses, policymakers and organisations to embed social impact, sustainability and ethics for the benefit of society.

‘Business Schools for Good’ will invite business schools from around the UK to bring to life their exceptional initiatives and contributions to the public good. Anchored by an ITN National newsreader, the programme will also feature interviews with those at the forefront of academic endeavour, discussing the far-reaching application of UK business schools’ teaching, research, collaboration and external engagement activities.

Anne Kiem OBE, Chief Executive of the Chartered Association of Business Schools said: “From helping entrepreneurs set up social enterprises, to working with the NHS to help patients find urgent care services, there are an abundance of ways in which business schools are contributing to wider society and the public good. We want to tell the story of the valuable work business schools are doing through their teaching, research, collaboration and engagement, and once again look forward to working with ITN to share examples from our members with a wider audience.”

Elizabeth Fisher-Robins, Head of ITN Productions Industry News said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Chartered Association of Business Schools again to produce a programme highlighting the significance of UK business schools.  We hope the content will showcase best practices that inspire students, academics, schools and employers to develop fresh initiatives.”
