Location:          London (hybrid working, minimum two days per week in the office near Cannon Street)
Salary:                £37,670 – £45,205 per annum, depending on experience
Contract:          Full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term until 31 March 2027
Reports to:       Head of Alumni Events and Business Operations

About us

The Chartered Association of Business Schools (Chartered ABS) is the representative body for the UK’s business school sector. Our team supports world-class business schools through research, policy work, conferences and national programmes including the Help to Grow: Management Course.

Help to Grow: Management is a nationwide leadership programme designed to help small business leaders develop their leadership skills and grow their organisations. Delivered by more than 60 accredited business schools across the UK, the programme includes practical learning modules, mentoring and peer networking.

Graduates of the course join the Help to Grow: Management Alumni Network, a growing community of more than 10,000 small business leaders who continue to benefit from ongoing learning, events and collaboration.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Alumni Team Officer to support the delivery of the Help to Grow: Management Alumni programme.

Working closely with the Head of Alumni Events and Business operations, and the wider team, you will support alumni engagement activity across the UK, maintain accurate programme records, and coordinate administrative processes related to alumni events, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

You will also work closely with our partner business schools to support their alumni activity and ensure compliance with programme governance requirements. 

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Help to Grow: Management Alumni programme

  • Liaise with partner business schools delivering alumni engagement activity

  • Maintain and improve administrative systems, processes and workflows

  • Ensure compliance with programme governance requirements, DBT guidelines and UK GDPR

  • Maintain CRM records and produce reports and dashboards on alumni activity

  • Support the planning and delivery of alumni events and content

  • Provide project and administrative support across the alumni team

  • Assist with financial administration and budgeting processes

  • Prepare meeting papers, notes and briefing materials for internal and partner meetings

Person specification

The successful candidate will have strong organisational and administrative skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

  • At least 3 years’ administrative experience, including working with senior stakeholders

  • Strong organisational and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and CRM systems

  • Experience producing reports and analysing data

  • Financial literacy and experience supporting budgeting processes

  • Experience supporting governance processes and senior meetings

A degree or equivalent experience is required. Professional qualifications in administration, project management or finance would be advantageous.
