Chartered ABS to use new VLE on development programmes

We are pleased to announce, as part of our partnership with Instructure, we will be using the Canvas virtual learning environment to support the delivery of our development programmes.

We will use the online platform to support participants through the programmes as well as provide a space for collaboration, discussion and feedback. The platform is interactive and takes advantage of innovative video and feedback technology, which is integrated. Users will be able to access programme content and communicate with fellow participants and facilitators anywhere, through any computer, tablet or mobile device. We hope the platform will add value to participants’ experiences.

The first cohort to use the platform will be those on the ‘sold out’ Leaders in Learning & Teaching programme. Given the integral use of VLE’s in teaching, it is the ideal programme to apply the platform.

We hope to roll out Canvas across our other development programmes, should the facilitators want to use the resource.

Barney Roe, Director of Communications & External Relations at Chartered ABS, said “we have been reviewing and refreshing our development programmes over the past 12 months. As part of that drive for continuous improvement we are delighted to add an innovation such as the Canvas VLE to support the delivery of Leaders in Learning & Teaching, and hopefully to our other programmes in due course. We’re grateful to Instructure for their support. We’re really happy with the usability and advanced functionality built into the platform; I hope this adds value to our members’ experiences.”
