Qualification Studies
This category includes education leading to formally recognised qualifications, such as a postgraduate certificate (PGCert), master's in education (MEd), or HEA fellowships where structured learning is involved.
Formal enrolment and assessment
Many CMBEs undertake a PGCert or MEd to enhance their understanding of pedagogy. If you are completing assignments or assessments, you can record this as CPD. Reflecting on how theoretical insights have influenced your teaching approach can strengthen your submission.
Applying subject knowledge to teaching
Some CMBEs study topics related to their business discipline (e.g. marketing, finance, HRM) and integrate new insights into their teaching. If your studies have led to updates in course content, learning materials, or assessment strategies, you can log this as CPD.
Accredited programmes from professional bodies
Many professional bodies offer structured learning programmes leading to certification. If you are undertaking these, you should document how the learning has influenced your teaching or leadership. Evidence may include certification documents and reflective statements on how your practice has evolved.
