CMBE Community Meeting:
Approaches to Online Assessments

1 February 2021, 13:00 - 14:00, Online via Zoom

This meeting will explore Approaches to Online Assessments which institutions have taken as a response to remote-learning conditions created by the pandemic, and ask ‘what good practice will we carry forward post-Covid?’. Our panel will look at the effectiveness of quizzes, group work and presentations as alternatives to exams. We will discuss how to use data and analytics from online assessments to engage students in learning, and we will examine the challenges of assessing quantitative subjects online.

These interactive meetings are exclusively for Certified Management & Business Educators and are free to attend. This is an opportunity to share and explore what is working well in these challenging circumstances with other teaching practitioners. Participation is encouraged and discussions will take place under Chatham House Rule.

Panel includes:

  • Gillian Saieva CMBE, Associate Professor, Solent Business School (Chair)
  • Dr Toyin Aderiye CMBE, Principal Lecturer & MBA Director, Sheffield Business School
  • Professor Daniel Ladley CMBE, Deputy Dean, University of Leicester School of Business
