Enhancing the value of contextual metrics in the Academic Journal Guide

This online workshop for the Academic Journal Guide is an opportunity for our global user community to inform the development of the next edition of the Guide.

  • The session takes place via MS Teams and all times are GMT+1

At this event we will be seeking feedback on the new contextual metrics that were included in the 2024 edition of the AJG and show examples of how they might be useful to researchers in deciding which journals to read or target for publication. The session will also explore how metrics are currently used in the research environment and how publishers, academics, and business schools can use metrics to support a wider focus on impact beyond citation metrics.

This session will be chaired by Professor Caroline Gatrell, the in-coming Chair of the AJG Management Committee. Additional speakers will be announced in due course.

Details about the new contextual metrics in AJG 2024 can be found here.

This session is free to attend but is restricted to those who are in senior research positions in business schools worldwide, and for publishers of business and management journals.
