'Leaders in International’ is a professional development programme for academic and professional services staff who are shaping and delivering the internationalisation ambitions of UK business schools. The programme is designed to equip participants with the strategic understanding, practical tools, and leadership capabilities required to lead international strategy, partnerships, transnational education (TNE), accreditation priorities, and global engagement initiatives.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
Critically evaluate internationalisation models, policies, and trends and apply them to the strategic context of their own business school
Design and develop a coherent internationalisation strategy that aligns with institutional mission, priorities, resources, and global ambitions
Assess and respond to emerging opportunities and challenges in global higher education, including rankings, student mobility, transnational education, and geopolitical developments
Build, manage, and sustain effective international partnerships and networks that support institutional objectives and create demonstrable value
Apply principles of intercultural competence, international diplomacy, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen global relationships and enhance institutional reputation
Lead and influence internationalisation initiatives across complex organisational environments, fostering collaboration, alignment, and institutional commitment
