Demystify executive education, build confidence with professional learners and open up new pathways for academic engagement.
This LTSE 2026 Post-Conference Workshop takes place in Manchester the day after the conference, 20th May.
Working in executive education offers academics a unique opportunity to broaden the reach of their research, build meaningful partnerships with industry, enhance the practical impact of their expertise, diversify their professional portfolio and develop new pedagogical approaches that enrich their learning and teaching repertoire.
Yet, many academics have had limited exposure to this area and may be unsure how their expertise, pedagogy and research can translate into this fast‑paced, practice‑focused environment.
This workshop is designed for colleagues who are interested in executive and professional education but have not yet been involved in delivery. It provides a supportive, informative introduction to what executive education is (and what it is not) and explores the distinctive expectations, contexts and learning needs of these participants.
