An inspiring Learning, Teaching & Student Conference 2015: the review
Our annual ‘Learning, Teaching and Student Experience’ conference was held in York last week and was a great success with over 200 people attending.
There were some excellent and challenging keynote speakers, including Professor Ray Land from Durham’s Centre for Learning, Teaching and Research in HE; Dr Paul Gentle from the Leadership Foundation; Dr John Craig from the Higher Education Academy; and, Professor Margaret Price, Director of ASKe Pedagogy Research Centre at Oxford Brookes. There were also over 80 workshop sessions creating a real buzz as people explored and discussed new and contemporary ideas around the subject.
The conference provides a very supportive and collaborative environment which enables us to share innovative developments in learning, teaching and the student experience across the Business School sector. We face common challenges and issues and it is fascinating to see how different business schools are addressing these challenges.
We are already looking forward to the 2016 conference, which will take place on 26-27 April next year – venue to be announced shortly.
