University of Chester Business School

The University of Chester is one of the oldest higher education providers in England. We are rooted in the communities we serve and are proud of the care we take in preparing students for a full and valuable role in society. Since gaining University status in 2005, the institution has seen significant investment and expansion, with provision of a diverse and innovative curriculum to more than 20,000 students, across nine distinctive locations, including Chester, Warrington and Shrewsbury. We are recognised for our excellence in learning and teaching, as evidenced by our TEF Silver Award, and have a demonstrable commitment to widening participation, impactful research, and strong private and public sector collaborations.

With the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Eunice Simmons, the University has re-affirmed its commitment to excellence and is now seeking to appoint a new Executive Dean of Business to lead a step-change in the evolution of Chester Business School. Housed within world-class facilities, the School, shortlisted by the Times Higher Education for Business School of the Year 2018, offers outstanding teaching and research with real societal impact. High student satisfaction and graduate employability rates, underpinned by growing links with industry, also reflect the School’s focus on preparing students to be the business-ready graduates of the future.
