New Chief Executive appointed to the Association of Business Schools
We're delighted to announce the appointment of Anne Kiem as our new Chief Executive. Anne joins the Association from her position as the Chief Executive of the Institute of Financial Services where she has led on strategic development, implementation and the establishment of the Institute’s relationships with government and business.
Anne also brings to the ABS her experience of working in a large multi-national financial services company, and a background in developing education programmes and teaching. She starts in post in week commencing 3rd November 2014.
Commenting on her appointment, Anne Kiem said “I am delighted to be joining the Association of Business Schools at what is an exciting time, especially with the prospect of the Royal Charter ahead. Business Schools are pivotal in producing the business managers of the future, not just in large organisations but also in the hugely important small and medium sized businesses.
“I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues, the Executive Committee and members to build on the firm foundations, develop new and innovative ways to deliver the aims of the ABS and deliver value for the membership. .”
Professor Angus Laing, Chairman of the Association of Business Schools, said “Anne brings extensive experience of business, educational and non-profit sectors. Under her leadership we aim to maintain our excellent recent track record of advocacy and lobbying government, and build additional value to our members through engagement with business and the provision of services and insights which are responsive to the needs of UK business schools. We are delighted to welcome her to the ABS.”
