Apprenticeships Training Providers consultation: our response

On the 12th of August the Skills Funding Agency put out a number of surveys on apprenticeships. The deadline was a less-than-generous three weeks, over a period when many people are on a summer break. One of the proposals is to replace the Register of Training Organisations (RoTO) with a Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP). There are many sensible proposals, but we have suggested that institutions already on the RoTO to be automatically transferred to the RoATP, and for institutions regulated by either QAA or Ofsted to be exempt from the requirement for annual registration.
