Spring is the time of plans and projects: Professional Managers’ Committee report

The Professional Managers' Committee met on Friday 10th March for our second meeting of 2017. The sun was shining, the daffodils were in bloom and there was a very definite sense of spring in the air. The substantive item on our agenda was the planning of our conference in December, which, given the spring feel to the day immediately conjured up unwelcome images of dark, cold winter days. Our aim is always to provide a value adding experience at conference and to that end we discussed long and hard the format of the conference and the most appropriate content for you as members. On the basis of feedback from our PMAC2016, we have decided to adopt a different approach to the conference this year with the intention of delivering more practical tools, lessons, new ideas and solutions. This will be delivered through 2 or 3 keynote plenary sessions with panel discussions to address the big thematic issues we as professional managers face and a number of  themed “tracks” running concurrently. We felt this would contribute more to your take away value. We made some good progress in beginning to pin down relevant umbrella themes and the committee will confirm these at our next meeting in May.

Registrations are open for the PMAC conference in Liverpool (11-12 Dec 17) so do take advantage of the early bird discount.

If you have any questions, queries or would like further information about the work of the PMC please do not hesitate to contact either myself for Chartered ABS colleagues.
