Transforming lives in developing countries: apply for Government funding

Business schools can apply for a share of up to £9.3 million to trial innovations that tackle global societal challenges in low-income and emerging economies. This fund comes from the Global Challenges Research Fund, a £1.5 billion UK government fund that supports cutting-edge research and innovation that addresses problems faced by developing countries.

The funding will be used to support demonstration-stage projects that are required to meet at least two of the nine UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the development of innovative processes, products and services. These projects should lead to the deployment of those innovations within developing countries.

Applications for funding are already open, and schools must apply by midday on Wednesday 13 November 2019.

You can find out more about the competition and funding here. All schools with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply.
