CMBE community meeting: Making the most of your CMBE subscription

The Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) scheme is designed for all who teach or lead learning and teaching teams in business schools. In this interactive session, you will join fellow CMBE subscribers to: share practical strategies for using the CMBE designation and professional development framework to secure promotion and progression, explore the ways in which to leverage the global CMBE network for peer-led learning and collaborative projects, shape future support from the Chartered ABS by discussing how the CMBE community can be better served.

This meeting is for active CMBE subscribers, and we encourage all those in the CMBE community to join us. It is a great opportunity to learn, contribute, and help strengthen the CMBE community.

By the end of this session, you will have a clear understanding of how to:

1. Strategically integrate CMBE into your career development plan

  • Discover how the CMBE designation and professional development framework can support promotion and progression.

  • Learn effective ways to position your CMBE status in job applications, performance appraisals, and funding proposals.

  • Explore the value of CMBE recognition when navigating major career transitions, such as leadership appointments or teaching-focused promotions.

2. Use the CMBE CPD framework to enhance professional growth

  • Learn to plan, document, and reflect on CPD activities so they demonstrate tangible impact on your teaching and leadership credentials.

  • Understand how to align CPD outputs with institutional priorities, including pedagogic innovation and transnational education (TNE) initiatives.

3. Engage with—and shape—the global CMBE community

  • Discover how to leverage the worldwide CMBE network for peer-led learning, research collaborations, and joint projects.

  • Contribute insights that will help the Chartered ABS further support the CMBE community, ensuring the scheme continues to meet subscribers’ evolving needs.
