We are now seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to lead our marketing performance, strengthen engagement across our brands and drive growth through insight-led campaigns.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Communications & External Relations, this is a key leadership role responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies across the Chartered ABS, Small Business Charter and Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) brands.
You will lead multi-channel campaigns that drive event registrations, revenue growth, member engagement and subscription growth. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, you will use data, audience insight and digital innovation to optimise performance across email, web, social media and CRM channels.
A key focus will be developing the marketing strategy for the CMBE scheme, supporting growth through lead generation, conversion and retention. You will also lead and develop a small marketing team, ensuring high-quality delivery, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead integrated marketing campaigns for conferences, events, professional development programmes and membership services.
Develop and optimise marketing strategies to increase engagement, registrations and revenue.
Own the marketing calendar and ensure effective planning, segmentation and campaign delivery.
Use CRM data, analytics and performance insights to improve audience engagement and campaign effectiveness.
Lead the growth strategy for the CMBE scheme, from awareness through to conversion and retention.
Create compelling marketing copy and content for senior business school and stakeholder audiences.
Oversee email campaigns, website content, social media activity and digital communications.
Maintain high editorial standards across communications channels.
Manage marketing budgets, suppliers and external agencies.
Lead, support and develop a small, high-performing marketing team.
About You
You will be an experienced marketing and communications professional with a strong track record in B2B marketing, campaign delivery and audience engagement.
You will bring:
Experience delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable results.
Experience in event marketing and achieving registration or revenue targets.
Excellent copywriting and editorial skills, with the ability to engage senior audiences.
Strong analytical capability and experience using CRM, digital platforms and marketing insights to improve performance.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Commercial awareness and a passion for understanding audiences and delivering value.
Experience in membership organisations, higher education, professional bodies or similar B2B environments would be advantageous.
Above all, you will be collaborative, creative and data-driven, with the ability to turn insight into impactful marketing that supports our members and organisational goals.
