How can I meet my CPD commitment?
The Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) scheme recognises and celebrates the diverse backgrounds of business school faculty and their varied contributions to raising standards in business and management education.
The CMBE CPD Framework supports individuals who contribute to business and management education in different ways:
Teaching Practice: Direct engagement in the delivering of business & management education at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and executive education.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL): Research focused on improving teaching methods and learning outcomes.
Academic Leadership: Mentoring, course design, or leading educational teams and initiatives.
Below, we provide detailed guidance on each category, including examples of how other CMBEs have successfully logged their professional development.
For each area there is a maximum number of units that can be claimed.
At least 21 of the 40 units must be verifiable.
